ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATE
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate is under the general supervision of the Lead Associate, Sr. Lead Associate, Assistant Coordinator or Coordinator to timely clean/cleanse all surfaces, remove solid waste, prepare beds, furnish clean linen, provide for a potable water supply and ensure the delivery of other supplies and services as necessary to maintain an orderly, neat, sanitary and safe environment in and around the hospital facility and adjacent facilities. Also, maintain a proactive mindset to assist in the satisfactory delivery of environmental services, safety and excellence in customer service to every section of the hospital and its environs. Capture daily activities in reports.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma [or equivalent] Bahamas Hotel Training Center Certificate.
EXPERIENCE
Two to three years working in a healthcare facility.
Experience in housekeeping/laundry maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write and comprehend basic principals of Sanitation and cleaning, laundering and how infection is spread.
Possess the skills, talents and means to follow instructions, work with little supervision and to a satisfactory degree understand technical principals/concepts of a chemical and mechanical nature.
