MATERNITY REGISTERED NURSE
Job Summary
Provides comprehensive support, care, and education to women during pregnancy, labor, and the post-partum period. Additionally, provides care to the newborn and women with reproductive health issues.
Education And Qualifications
- Licensed registered nurse mid- wife (mid-wifery certification)
- Minimum 2 years Labor and Delivery & Newborn/Nursery experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited University
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 3 months of start date)
- Currently registered with Bahamas Nursing Council

- Skilled at observing set nursing standards and protocols
- Ability to handle pressure
