TRAINED CLINICAL NURSE (TCN)

Job Summary

The Trained Clinical Nurse is a professional caregiver who provides care to an assigned group of Patients. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse via the application of the Nursing process In a therapeutic environment, utilizing treatment modalities. Team collaboration.

Qualification and Experience

• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing with a Certificate or diploma from an Enrolled or Clinical Nurse Program.
• Currently registered with Bahamas Nursing Council as an enrolled nurse
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Computer literate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Communicates effectively.
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable
• Knowledgeable of legal and ethical issues in nursing practice capable of caring for patients from all age groups.
• Ability to perform full range of nursing functions including assessments, bed baths, range pf motion exercises, assistance with daily life functions.
• Ability to identify problems, analyze nursing situations and plan reasonable course of action based on knowledge under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Readily adapts to organizational and professional changes. Demonstrates warmth, concern and empathy for people as individuals.
• Skills to include motivating, evaluating and dealing effectively with a wide range of people.
